Youth group for children in school years 4-9

Our weekly Youth Group for post-First Communion children runs from 5.45 to 7.00pm on Tuesdays in term time. The Youth Group aims to bring together young people within the parish to build friendships and faith. We focus on getting to know each other, making friends, playing games, bible study, asking questions, finding answers, prayer and eating sweets.

To give you an idea of what we’ve been doing so far…

In our first term we sped through some of the Bible’s big shots – Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We then took time to see how what we learnt from them can help and inspire us in our own lives as followers of Jesus. We celebrated a night of light party at the end of October, helped with the Christmas shoebox appeal and had an interactive family prayer night in Advent.

We’re currently taking a look at the 3 pillars of Lent – fasting, prayer and giving.

Could youth group be what you’re looking for? A chance to spend time with your friends, old and new, to explore faith in a fun way and find new ways of finding God.

We will meet again on Tuesday at 5:45-7pm, all are welcome.

If you want to use the tuck shop please bring along a bit of money, up to 30p.

The groups are co-ordinated and run by Clare Spiller but she is also looking for adult helpers who can make squash and generally help out—please email her  at if you could be on the rota once a month.
