Youth group for children in school years 4-9

Our weekly Youth Group for post-First Communion children runs from 5.45 to 7.00pm on Tuesdays in term time. The Youth Group aims to bring together young people within the parish to build friendships and faith. We focus on getting to know each other, making friends, playing games, bible study, asking questions, finding answers, prayer and eating sweets.

Come along. Bring Friends. Invite new people. Remind old people.

To give you an idea of what we did last year …

Some of the Old Testament big shots – Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, a night of light party, Christmas shoebox appeal, Advent family prayers, the pillars of Lent – fasting, giving, praying. We held a cake sale to raise money for refugees, WaterAid and Mary’s Meals in response to our Lenten reflections on giving. We raised an amazing £120! We’ve taken a look at Jesus – who actually is he and what is he like? –  and how can the Holy Spirit can change our lives.

What will this year hold in store?… Come along to find out!

Could youth group be what you’re looking for? A chance to spend time with your friends, old and new, to explore faith in a fun way and find new ways of finding God. Give it a try.

We will meet again on Tuesday at 5:45-7pm, all are welcome.

If you want to use the tuck shop please bring along a bit of money, up to 30p.

The groups are co-ordinated and run by Clare Spiller but she is also looking for adult helpers who can make squash and generally help out—please email her  at if you could be on the rota once a month.
