  • Golden Jubilee

As you will now know this is the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of East Anglia. Several events are being planned at diocesan and parish level. One thing we are doing is a leaflet/booklet of our parish memories. I am now collecting stories, anecdotes, accounts of what you remember of the past 50 years. It may be about the building, our priests, characters, events including fetes, fundraising, socials, missions, visitors, parties, weddings, First Communions etc, anything that has happened. In fact, anything that you consider may be of interest to others. Photographs could be included. Please give a date (or approximate) of your memory so they can be sorted into decades. Light-hearted or serious, all memories welcome. It would be helpful if they were sent via e-mail to alice.fox2024@outlook.com or if you prefer give it in writing, please hand it to the office. Thank you.

  • St Louis Green Token Project.

Please help St Louis Catholic Academy in the Waitrose Newmarket Community Matters green token project.

You may have noticed that St Louis is part of the Waitrose green token scheme and so please support St Louis by picking up a green token every time you shop at Waitrose and placing it in the St Louis token box.

The project with the most votes will receive Â£1,500, while the second and third placed projects will receive Â£1,000 and Â£500 respectively.

The aim is for the school to revitalise its library books so that titles reflect the diverse cultural nature of the school community, it’s families, children’s’ interests and celebrate a love of reading amongst pupils so that every child can see themselves in what they read and discover new and exciting perspectives along the way.

    Thank you.
